穂高岳山荘に2023年に完成したという西側石畳「夕焼け劇場」を通過して白出沢を下る。
ここを下りてしまえば、一部ショートカットの登山道があるが、基本的には新穂高ロープウェイまでは林道を歩くだけだ。
夕暮れ時に歩けばそれは美しい中下山することができるが、この下山路は意外と長い上、下半分は危険なところもあり、暗い中通過することはおすすめできない。
本当は夕暮れが見たかったが、この日は丁度この写真の頃からガスが出始めたのでさっさと下ることにした。
いつかここでゆっくりと夕日でも見てみたいと思う。
From Hotaka-dake Mountain Lodge to Shiradesawa
Passing through the west-side stone-paved “Sunset Theater” at Hotaka-dake Mountain Lodge, completed in 2023, we descend along Shiradesawa. Once I descend here, there is a partially shortcut hiking trail, but essentially you’ll just be walking along the forest road all the way to the Shinhotaka Ropeway. Walking at dusk offers a beautiful descent, but this route is surprisingly long, and the lower half has some hazardous sections. Passing through in the dark is not recommended. I really wanted to see the sunset, but fog started rolling in around the time this photo was taken, so I decided to hurry down. Someday, I hope to come back and leisurely watch the sunset here.
