「日本一のモグラ駅」土合駅

初めて訪れた時、私はこの駅が使われていないのではないかと思った。

降りる人は私も含めて登山者のみ。

がらんどうとした駅のホームから延びる462段の階段を登り、出た先の駅舎内はまるで廃校となった校舎のようだった。

それでもここはかの有名な日本一のモグラ駅であり、谷川岳へ向かう玄関駅である。

“Japan’s number one mole station” Doai Station

When I first visited, I thought this station was no longer in use. The only people getting off were climbers, including myself. From the empty station platform, I climbed 462 steps to reach the station building, which looked like an abandoned school. Nevertheless, this is Japan’s famous number one mole station and the gateway to Mt. Tanigawa-dake.
